Colonel BURNasked whether a married woman who is in business on her own account in order to keep the house going, owing to the disablement of her husband, is prohibited from becoming a voluntary contributor; and, if so, whether it is proposed to issue any Regulations 2667 permitting a married woman in such circumstances to become a voluntary contributor?
§ Mr. MASTERMANA married woman (not insured under the Act before her marriage) cannot become a voluntary contributor, and the Insurance Commissioners have no power to issue Regulations providing otherwise.
