HC Deb 11 April 1912 vol 36 c1397
Mr. PETO

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can promise not to take the Second Beading of the Railways Bill until a month has elapsed after it is in print, in order to give traders time to, consider its provisions?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. J. M. Robertson)

I am afraid that my right hon. Friend cannot give a pledge such as the hon. Member desires, but there will be ample opportunity for all parties interested to consider the provisions of the Bill, and to express their views thereon, before it leaves this House.
