HC Deb 11 April 1912 vol 36 cc1394-5
Mr. STANIER

asked what is the reason of the delay in proceeding with the building of the new offices for the Board of Agriculture?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

Protracted discussions have taken place between the Board on the one hand and the Office of Works and the Treasury on the other, in order to secure that the needs of the Department may be adequately met, with due regard to the economy of the public service. The discussions are, I think, nearing a, conclusion, and I hope that my right hon. Friend the First Commissioner will shortly be in a position to give orders for the commencement of building operations.
