HC Deb 02 April 1912 vol 36 c1034
Mr. PETO

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that until four or five years ago the post office at Marlborough was open until 9 p.m., and that since the hours of opening have been reduced successively to 8.30 p.m. and now to 8 p.m.; and whether he has been able to make arrangements for the posting of parcels up to a later hour than 8 p.m.?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

I have carefully considered the matter, and regret that I do not see my way to make special arrangements for the acceptance of parcels after 8 p.m. at the Marlborough Post Office.
