HC Deb 02 April 1912 vol 36 cc1028-9
Mr. HUNT

asked what is the annual training laid down under the Australian Defence Act of 1910 for junior cadets, for senior cadets, and for members of the citizen forces?

Colonel SEELY

I am having a list of all the qualifications for the cadets of Australia circulated with the Votes.

Mr. HUNT

asked what is the total number of days of training which an Australian cadet has to undergo between the ages of twelve and eighteen years of age under the Australian Defence Act, taking a whole day's drill at six hours; and what is the total number of days' training which an Australian soldier of the citizen forces will have to undergo between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five?

Colonel SEELY

I will circulate this.

Mr. LEE

Will the right hon. Gentleman have his full answers circulated with the Votes, as they do not seem to have arrived?

Colonel SEELY

I have said with regard to this question referring to Australia in reply to No. 10 that I would have a full statement circulated. I never intended to give the information now, because it would involve the taking of too much time at Question Time.
