HC Deb 26 October 1911 vol 30 c289
Earl WINTERTON

asked if the local police authorities can assign any reason for the attacks upon the persons and property of members of the Jewish community in certain Welsh towns during last August?

Mr. McKENNA

I am informed that the unpopularity of certain Jews in the district referred to gave rise to ill-feeling against the Jewish community generally, but it is not to be supposed that all the tradesmen whose shops were attacked had incurred special unpopularity. Some of them in fact did not belong to the Jewish community.
