HC Deb 27 November 1911 vol 32 c11
Mr. BOLAND

asked whether any Report has been received from the British delegates to the International Industrial Property Convention, held at Washington on 15th May, 1911; whether this Report will be presented to Parliament; and whether the delegates have made any special Report on the subject of fraudulent misrepresentation of Irish products, particulars of which were furnished to them prior to the convention?

Mr. BUXTON

The Report of the delegates has been received and presented to Parliament, and will, it is hoped, shortly be in the hands of Members. No separate report has been made on the subject referred to in the last part of the question, but my hon. Friend will find when the Report is issued that the International Conference has agreed upon amendments of the Convention which, if generally accepted, will afford a more adequate protection against misrepresentations such as those to which he refers.
