Santo, Spencer, and Company's works admitted to a trade union deputation last January that the stonework in connection with the contract for the extension of the Law Courts had been sub-let; and whether he will make inquiries into the matter?
Mr. DUDLEY WARDThe Office of Works had no knowledge of this matter, and on making inquiry of the manager of Messrs. Spencer, Santo and Company, they are assured that he did not receive a deputation in January last, or at any other time, in connection with the alleged subletting of the stonework at the Royal Courts of Justice extension.
