HC Deb 27 November 1911 vol 32 cc27-8
Captain FABER

asked the Prime Minister if he will state when he proposes to give a day for the hon. Member for Wisbech to move the Resolution standing in his name, calling attention to the alleged discontent at the method by which county magistrates are appointed, and inviting the House to express its opinion that the measures taken by the Lord Chancellor to give effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission will not remove the cause of the dissatisfaction?

The PRIME MINISTER

I must ask the hon. Member to await the general statement which I shall make later in the week.

Mr. BUTCHER

May I ask whether the Government have made inquiries?

The PRIME MINISTER

The hon. Gentleman will hear when I make my statement.
