HC Deb 14 November 1911 vol 31 c206
Mr. FRANCIS MEEHAN

asked the conditions necessary for the transfer of sales of properties which have not been vested under the Land Act of 1903 to the Congested Districts Board under the Act of 1909; and what are the terms and conditions offered by the Congested Districts Board to town tenants who are willing to purchase their houses under the said Act?

Mr. BIRRELL

No general conditions are laid down with regard to the transfer of sales to the Congested Districts Board under the Act of 1909. The case of each estate must be dealt with according to the circumstances. As regards town tenants the Board resell at the same price at which they purchase from a landlord. The rates have varied considerably in the different cases, the price being a matter of negotiation.
