§ Mr. BOTTOMLEYasked the President of the Local Government Board whether the date for payment of quarterly salaries to Poor Law Officials has recently been changed from the 24th December to the 31st December; and, if so, seeing that this alteration will inconvenience a number of persons, whether he will reconsider the new regulation?
§ The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Burns)The change was made in June, 1910. One board of guardians wrote last December to know if they might pay on the 24th December proportionate parts of the salaries due to their officers. No objection was raised to this, and I should see no objection to their example being followed.
