HC Deb 14 November 1911 vol 31 c193
Mr. KING

asked whether, in view of the fact that the rise in the cost of living is affecting the United States, France, Austria, and Germany, he will consider the propriety of arranging for an International Commission of Inquiry; and whether he will approach the Governments of these countries with the object of finding if this proposal would meet with their acceptance?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. J. M. Robertson)

As my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade informed the hon. Member for Plymouth, any definite proposal for the purpose indicated in the question would have the careful consideration of His Majesty's Government.
