HC Deb 13 November 1911 vol 31 c22
Sir HILDRED CARLILE

asked when the Report of the Royal Commission which is considering the future of the University of London may be expected?

Mr. McKENNA

The Prime Minister has asked me to answer this question. I am informed by the Chairman that the Commission are making good progress with the evidence, which is necessarily of very great range, and that its conclusion is almost within sight, but that he is not prepared to fix a date for the issue of their Report.

Sir H. CARLILE

Will the right hon. Gentleman give the probable day?

Mr. McKENNA

I am afraid I cannot go beyond the Chairman's statement to me.
