I am not yet in a position to give any further information on this subject.

May I ask if it is intended to deal with this expenditure by a supplementary Estimate?

asked if any payments have been made, or are to be made, to the railway companies by the Government for the movement of troops in connection with the railway strike?

No payments have yet been made, but payments will shortly be made to the companies.
