HC Deb 08 November 1911 vol 30 c1644
Sir FREDERICK BANBURY

asked the Prime Minister if he will give facilities for the further stages of the Trade Dispute Act (1906) Repeal Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

I am afraid the answer must be in the negative.

Sir F. BANBURY

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether if it can be shown that the enterprise and intelligence of the country is in favour of the repeal of the principal Act he will reconsider his decision?

The PRIME MINISTER

That will depend on the quantity and value of the evidence which the hon. Member produces.
