HC Deb 08 November 1911 vol 30 cc1642-3
Mr. MILLS

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to the insanitary and generally unsatisfactory condition of the post office at Northwood; and if he can state whether steps are being taken to acquire land for the erection of a more suitable building; and, if so, when the work will be commenced?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I fully recognise the need for improved accommodation for the work of the Northwood Post Office, but its provision has been attended with considerable difficulty. Proposals for the building of a new office are now in active progress, and will, I hope, be carried through shortly.
