HC Deb 08 November 1911 vol 30 c1643
Mr. HODGE

asked the President of the Board of Education if he can now state the view of his Board with regard to the proposal of the trustees of the Bablake School, Coventry, to raise the school fees from £2 to £4?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. J. A. Pease)

A careful investigation of the financial position of this school is being made. It is proposed to communicate the results to the local authority, and to obtain their observations thereon as soon as possible.

Mr. W. THORNE

May I ask whether this is a public school or a private school, and, if it is public, whether they are carrying out the Board's regulation of supplying twenty-five free places in the school?

Mr. J. A. PEASE

I should like notice of that question.
