HC Deb 25 May 1911 vol 26 c444
Mr. CHANCELLOR

asked the Postmaster-General whether the reduction in foreign parcels post rates which he proposes to effect will be to the extent of 20 per cent. on the whole of those rates or only on that part which represents the portion of those rates received by the British Post Office?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

As I stated when introducing the Post Office Estimates last week, the reduction in the foreign parcel post rates, to which the hon. Member refers, will apply to that portion of the rates which is normally received by the British Post Office for inland service, and not to the whole of the rates.
