HC Deb 24 May 1911 vol 26 cc257-8
Mr. BOTTOMLEY

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman has yet arrived at a decision as to the establishment of a Committee on Estimates?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have promised to give an opportunity for a discussion of the matter.

Mr. BOTTOMLEY

Can the right hon. Gentleman give us a rough idea when he thinks this proposal of the Government will be ripe for consideration?

The PRIME MINISTER

It is not a question of the proposal of the Government. There is a Motion down on the Taper in the name of a private Member, and when that Motion comes on for discussion the Government will be ready to state their views.
