HC Deb 23 May 1911 vol 26 c146
Mr. FELL

asked if the "Hercules" had to be lightened to any, and what, extent before she could enter the dock at Hebburn-on-Tyne; and if ships of her draught can only enter this dock at spring tides?

Mr. McKENNA

As the "Hercules" at the time was at a lighter draught than corresponds to the Navy List displacement, she was not specially lightened before entering the clock at Hebburn-on Tyne. Vessels of the draught of the "Hercules" can only enter this dock at spring tides.
