HC Deb 23 May 1911 vol 26 c129
Mr. SANDYS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he was aware that dissatisfaction exists amongst officers engaged in aeroplane work on account of the inefficiency of the Royal Engineer mechanics who are engaged in the adjustment and repairing of aeroplanes; and whether he will consider the advisability of having a staff of trained mechanics specially engaged for this work?

Colonel SEELY

A staff of six skilled mechanics is to be provided for this service; of these five have already been obtained, but great care has to be exercised in selecting only suitable men.
