§ Mr. LONSDALEasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether his Department has considered the Reports to the Local Government Board on the bleaching of flour and the addition of so-called improvers to flour, and on chemical changes produced in flour by bleaching; and whether, in view of the fact that these Report indicate that the Local Government Board are in possession of specific cases of the fraudulent adulteration of flour by manufacturers, he will obtain from that Department the information necessary to enable him to put 1645 in force the legal powers which are vested in the Board of Agriculture with a view to the protection of the public against frauds of this character?
