asked whether any complaint was lodged with the police at Longford Royal Irish Constabulary station on Saturday, 28th April, as to an alleged larceny of coal from Longford railway station; whether any inquiries were made by the police in the matter; and, if so, with what result?

Mr. REDMOND BARRY

The police authorities inform me that no complaint was lodged with the police at Longford station on Friday, the 28th, or Saturday, the 29th April, 1911, as to the larceny of coal from Longford railway station.

Will the right hon. Gentleman say what action they propose to take?

No information has reached me on the subject.

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War who is the contractor for coal to the military barracks at Longford; how the contractor consigns this coal, and to whom; who is the carrier who delivers this coal to the barracks from the railway station; and whether any complaint was made to the police on this matter on the 28th April last?
