HC Deb 09 May 1911 vol 25 cc1016-7
Mr. BENNETT-GOLDNEY

asked the number of Regular soldiers in any one Cavalry regiment stationed either at Colchester or Brighton, or other station in the Eastern Command, employed with the staff away from the regiment as officers' servants, as servants in the officers' and sergeants' mess, employed with the remounts, or in any other capacity than that of a Regular soldier in the ranks undergoing continuous military training?

Mr. ACLAND

I should not be unwilling to obtain the information for which the hon. Member asks if upon consideration he still desires to press the matter. I can, however, assure him that the great majority of the men employed are fully trained, and that their training is properly kept up, and I hope that this may satisfy him.
