HC Deb 09 May 1911 vol 25 cc1040-1
Mr. MEAGHER

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is aware of the desire of the Irish people, irrespective of class or creed, to have early legislation for the reform of the Poor Law in Ireland on the lines of the Vice-regal Commission Report; and whether, seeing that no section of the Irish people-consider the Report of the Royal Commission on Poor Law reform would meet with approval, he will see his way to introduce the Bill on Irish Poor Law reform which has been already prepared?

Mr. BIRRELL

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to a question asked on this subject on the 9th February by the lion. Member for Mid-Armagh.
