HC Deb 01 May 1911 vol 25 cc5-6
Mr. MITCHELL-THOMSON

asked the Home Secretary if he can state how many injunctions have been granted against trade unions as the result of the judgment in the case of Osborne v. the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants; and whether he will grant a Return of all the trade unions proceeded against, for applying their funds for the purposes of representation in Parliament, with the results of the proceedings in each case?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I have made inquiries and find that it will be possible to obtain the information asked for in the first part of the question without much difficulty, and I shall be glad to take steps to do so. I understand, however, that the information asked for in the second part of the question would entail a very long and detailed search, and I think it will be sufficient if I give a return of the trade unions against whom injunctions have been granted.
