Mr. KINGasked the Home Secretary when he intends to move the Second Reading of the Aliens (Prevention of Crimes) Bill?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI shall look for a suitable opportunity: but meanwhile the Bill, which has already been sent to a Grand Committee, gives full opportunities for amendment, and may perhaps be made to serve the purposes the Government have in view.
Mr. KINGIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that a large number of Members would not have voted for the Second Reading of the Bill on Friday unless they had thought this Bill was also going to the Grand Committee?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLIt makes no difference.
