HC Deb 20 March 1911 vol 23 c14
Mr. JOHN WARD

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that nineteen cases of accident to men engaged upon the new dock works at Rosyth have been dealt with by the Poor Law authorities at the local workhouse infirmary since July, 1910; and what action he proposes to take to prevent this enforced pauperisation of the injured workmen at Rosyth in the manner indicated?

The FIRST LORD of the ADMIRALTY (Mr. McKenna)

I am not aware of the facts mentioned by my hon. Friend, but if he will be good enough to refer me to one or more individual cases, I will have the circumstances investigated without delay.

Mr. JOHN WARD

I have a list of the guardians here.
