HC Deb 15 March 1911 vol 22 c2222
Mr. COURTHOPE

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether any regulations have yet been drawn up for the purpose of carrying Section 56 of the Finance Act, 1910, into effect; and how many applications have been received under this section?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

No statutory regulations appear to be required under the section referred to, and consequently none have yet been drawn up. The number of applications received under the section is twelve.

Mr. COURTHOPE

May I ask whether the Treasury is in a position to accept these applications?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

It will depend upon the circumstance in each particular case. I could not answer off-hand in respect of all these cases.
