Mr. HARCOURTI have not the precise figures asked for, but according to the reports of the Chamber of Mines the death rate in 1910 for natives employed by members of the Witwatersrand Native Labour Association was 30.85 per thousand from 2220 all causes except accident, and the death rate per thousand for Chinese in 1909 was 15.01.
