HC Deb 15 March 1911 vol 22 c2239
Mr. STANIER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether the Board were satisfied that they discovered the origin of the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease near Ripon last year; and, if so, what was it?

Mr. GULLAND (Lord of the Treasury) (for Sir E. Strachey)

Very exhaustive investigations were made with a view to discover the cause of the outbreak in question, but without any success.
