HC Deb 14 March 1911 vol 22 c2040
Mr. DAVID MASON

asked whether His Majesty's Government would be prepared to take part in a Conference of the interested Powers in the building of the Baghdad Railway?

Sir E. GREY

I explained to the House, in the statement I made on the 8th inst., the position of His Majesty's Government in regard to the Baghdad Railway, and I have nothing to add thereto; but if a suggestion for a Conference of interested Powers should be made either by Germany or Turkey, or by both Powers, it would of course receive consideration.
