Mr. TYSON WILSONasked the President of the Board of Trade if he could state the number of persons that obtained employment through the Labour Exchanges in Lancashire during the months of February and May this year, giving the number for each month and each exchange separately?
§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Tennant)The numbers of vacancies filled by the Labour Exchanges in Lancashire during the periods of four weeks ending 24th February and 26th May were 5,910 and 7,734 respectively; in addition 824 persons in February and 668 in May were placed in casual employment.
