HC Deb 10 July 1911 vol 28 c21
Mr. BARNES

asked whether the regulations referred to in Clause 67 of the National Insurance Bill will be issued for the information of Members of this House prior to the discussion of the Clause in Committee?

Mr. BUXTON

The regulations under the National Insurance Bill could not be issued before the Bill becomes law. I am however considering whether, before Clause 67 is taken, it will be possible to circulate a statement which might indicate generally and provisionally the nature of the principal regulations contemplated, without anticipating the consultations which would naturally take place on the matter with the persons and bodies interested after the Bill is passed.

Mr. MITCHELL-THOMSON

Can the right hon. Gentleman say when the Government intend to put their own Amendments on the Paper?

Mr. BUXTON

Perhaps the hon. Gentleman would put that question to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
