HC Deb 05 July 1911 vol 27 cc1120-1
Mr. ASTOR

asked how many officers, inspectors, referees, and servants it is estimated will be required under Clause 41 of the National Insurance Bill during the first year that the Act is put in operation, and what sum it is estimated will be required for their salaries?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

With regard to the sum required for salaries, I will refer the hon. Member to my reply to the Noble Lord the Member for the Newton Division yesterday. The estimate of £75,000 to £100,000 I then gave is necessarily at the present state very conjectural, and I do not think anything would be gained by making a detailed estimate of numbers.
