Resolution reported, "That the sums to be paid in respect of the Local Taxation (Customs and Excise) Duties into the Local Taxation Account and the Local Taxation (Scotland) Account and the Local Taxation (Ireland) Account respectively shall be a sum equal to the amount of the English, Scottish, and Irish shares respectively of the proceeds of those duties during the financial year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine, and that there shall be paid into each of the said Local Taxation Accounts during the current financial year out of the Consolidated Fund any amount by which the sum payable into that account in respect of the proceeds of the Local Taxation (Customs and Excise) Duties in the financial year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and ten, fell short of the amount of that share."

Resolution agreed to.

Resolution reported, "That there shall be charged on the Consolidated Fund and paid to any council of a county or county borough in England or Wales any sum by which the proceeds of the duties on carriages (including motor cars) levied by that council in any year are less than the amount of the proceeds of those duties levied in that county or county borough during the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine, and there shall be charged on the Consolidated Fund and paid into the Local Taxation (Scotland) Account in each year a sum equal to the proceeds in Scotland of the duties on carriage licences (including motor cars) during the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine."

Resolution agreed to.

Ordered, That it be an Instruction to the Gentlemen appointed to bring in a Bill upon the Resolutions reported this day from the Committee of Ways and Means that they do make provision therein pursuant to these Resolutions.
