Mr. BUXTONIn the period 1900–10 the average "Gazette" price of British wheat was lowest in 1901 and 1903, when it was 26s. 9d. per quarter, and highest in 1909, namely, 36s. 11d. The average price of bread throughout all places in Great Britain is not available, but in London the mean price of household bread was lowest in 1901, namely, 5d. per 4 lb., and highest in 1909, when it was 5.9d.
