HC Deb 21 February 1911 vol 21 c1719
Mr. EUGENE WASON

asked the Lord Advocate whether he can state the intention of the Government as to any alteration to be made in the Shops Hours Bill, when reintroduced, to meet the special conditions in Scotland with particular regard to shops exempted from the provisions of the Bill; and whether it is intended to press concurrently with the Shops Bill the Burgh Police (Scotland) Amendment Bill, as introduced by the Secretary for Scotland at the end of last Session?

Mr. URE

It is the intention of the Government to make special provision in the Shops Bill to meet Scottish conditions and at the same time to proceed with a Bill on the lines of the Burgh Police (Scotland) Amendment Bill of last Session.
