§ Mr. O'GRADYasked the Under Secretary of State for India whether the despatch relative to the provincial engineer service in connection with the Public Works Department in India has yet been received by the Secretary of State; if so, when will the proposals of the Government of India, together with those of the various local administrations, be laid upon the Table; and, if not, will he state what steps are being taken to expedite the submission of this despatch, having regard to the fact that the Government of India have had more than two-and-a-half years to consider the matters with which they have been invited to deal?
