§ Mr. O'GRADYasked when the publisher of the Karmayogin was discharged from custody by the court and when he was actually liberated from prison; whether any explanation has been given for the continued imprisonment of the man after his release had been ordered; and what steps, if any, the Government have taken to prevent a repetition of such cases?
§ Mr. MONTAGUThe High Court set aside the conviction on the 7th November, and the prisoner was released on the 17th November. The cause of the delay is under inquiry and a full report has been promised. Perhaps my hon. Friend will ask another question later in the Session.
