HC Deb 21 February 1911 vol 21 cc1725-6

asked what were the conditions as to sick pay with regard to the stokers employed on the General Post Office telegraph ship "Monarch," and the stokers employed at the General Post Office in London?

Stokers employed in the General Post Office in London are entitled, after two years' service, to receive two-thirds of their pay during sick absence, within certain limits depending on the length of service. The same conditions apply to stokers employed on the cable ship "Monarch" when not at sea; but when the ship is at sea full pay is allowed within the same limits.
