§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELThe contractors for London Mail Cart Services require their drivers to use safety straps, the cost of which ranges from 1s. to 3s. 6d. The drivers employed by Messrs. McNamara and Co. have to provide these straps at their own expense, and I am informed that this is the general custom of the trade, the straps being regarded as part of the drivers' personal equipment.
