§ Colonel RAWSONasked whether all or any of the Indian heavy batteries were to be disbanded; if so, what would be done with the officers and men who were disbanded; and, if the said batteries were not to be disbanded, would they be furnished with new and up-to-date guns.
§ Mr. MONTAGUThere are no proposals before the Secretary of State for the disbandment of any of the heavy batteries in India. They will be rearmed with new and up-to-date guns, but no pattern has as yet been decided on.
