asked the Home Secretary what was the number of accidents in the Dinorwic quarry, Carnarvonshire, during the years 1909 and 1910 respectively, and the ratio to the number of men employed?

The number of fatal accidents in 1909 was four, and the rate per 1,000 persons employed 1.43; in 1910 the number was 1, and the rate .36. The number of non-fatal accidents disabling for more than seven days in 1909 was 502, and the rate per 1,000 persons employed, 179; in 1910, the number was 353, and the rate 127.

asked the Home Secretary what was the number of men employed at the Alexandra quarry, in the county of Carnarvon, during the year 1910; and what was the number of accidents reported during that period?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The number of persons employed was 221, the number of accidents disabling for more than seven days was 24. None of the accidents were fatal.
