HC Deb 21 February 1911 vol 21 c1720
Mr. GEORGE ROBERTS

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether, as a result of the inquiry held on 3rd November last, it has been decided to endorse the application made by the Cardiganshire County Council for the confirmation of orders for the compulsory hiring of two holdings on the Gogerddan estate?

Sir E. STRACHEY

One of the orders has been confirmed. The other was not confirmed inasmuch as it related to land let as a separate holding of less than fifty acres, and cannot, therefore, be acquired compulsorily.

Mr. MARKHAM

May I call attention to the fact that no one in this part of the House can hear a word of what is said from the Treasury Bench?
