HC Deb 20 February 1911 vol 21 c1525
Mr. CRUMLEY

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention had been called to the periodical flooding of lands around Upper Lough Erne, county Fermanagh, and to the damage done to the crops of farmers who cannot afford to sustain such losses; and whether the Board of Works would confer with the Lough Erne Drainage Board with a view to taking action in the interests of the inhabitants of the district?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

No complaints have been received by the Board of Works since the year 1906, of damage caused by floods on Upper Lough Erne. Should any be received the Board would inquire into them; and one of the first steps in all such cases is to communicate with the Drainage Board.
