HC Deb 15 February 1911 vol 21 c1027
Sir REGINALD POLE-CAREW

asked how many cruisers are detailed for the protection of our commerce and foodstuffs in time of war; what is their speed and gun-power; where are they at present stationed; whether they are fully manned; how long it would take to get them ready for sea, and for them to reach their respective destinations; and what are their names?

Mr. McKENNA

It would not be in the public interest to give any information as to the proposed disposition of our ships in time of war.
