asked, what is the value of goods purchased by the Dominions, Colonies, and India from outside the British Empire?

Mr. BUXTON

The value of the imports of merchandise from foreign countries into the British Empire outside the United Kingdom in 1909 was about 142 millions sterling, of which twenty-eight millions were imported into British India, eighty-six millions into the Self-Governing Dominions, and twenty-eight millions into other Colonies, Possessions and Protectorates.
