HC Deb 15 December 1911 vol 32 cc2783-4

Order read for consideration of Lords Amendments.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Lords Amendments be now considered."—[Mr. Ure.]

Mr. C. E. PRICE rose——

Mr. SPEAKER

Does the hon. Member object?

Mr. PRICE

No, but I want to ask what are the Amendments. Last night we had a large number of Amendments sent down by the House of Lords on the Land Bill, and owing to the lateness of the hour, they were all allowed to pass through. The present Bill is one of vital consequence. Perhaps the Lord Advocate would in a few words indicate to the House the nature of the Amendments?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)

All the Amendments that have been made in another place are of mere detail. They make quite explicit that was clearly implicit in the Bill when it was in this House.
