HC Deb 15 December 1911 vol 32 cc2784-5

Order read for consideration of Lords Amendments.

Mr. GULLAND

I beg to move, "That the Lords Amendments be now considered."

Viscount CASTLEREAGH

May I suggest that some hon. or right hon. Gentleman on the Government Bench might give us some explanation of the meaning of those Amendments.

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Masterman)

The Amendments are purely-drafting Amendments with the exception of Amendments which were promised on the Report stage. In addition to these there are only two Amendments on small points—one with regard to the extension of time in connection with the safety lamps Clause, in Scotland, and the other small point is in connection with the provisions with regard to electricity.
